The Seattle Seahawks have traded Percy Harvick to the Minnesota Vikings, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
Percy Harvin, who has been a starter since he was drafted by the Seahawks in 2008, will join the Vikings after the season, Rapoports report.
Perry Harvin had been on the trade block for several weeks and was the subject of several trade talks, Rapaport reported.
He was a third-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the 2008 draft.
The trade was announced by general manager John Schneider on Twitter.
Rapoporting adds that the Vikings have released running back Chad Greenway, cornerback Terence Newman and wide receiver Jamari Staples.
Perth, AustraliaPerth’s Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer Chris Barr said that he has not heard anything about the trade.
Barr said that Harvicks departure from the Seahawks would be a big blow to the team, which has already missed Harvics first-half return in the gold medal game.
Perkins contract has been on hold since the Seahawks traded him to the Vikings.
